Mitsui agrees to buy stake in R-Pharm
TOKYO. Dec 16 (Interfax) - R-Pharm and Japan's Mitsui & Co. signed a memorandum on the main conditions of a deal to acquire a stake in the Russian pharmaceutical company on Friday.
The document was signed in the presence of Russian President Vladimir Putin and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.
R-Pharm also signed an agreement with Fujifilm Holdings Corp. to establish a broad partnership with possible localization of production and creation of a joint venture.
Representatives of R-Pharm were unavailable for comment.
R-Pharm conducts research, and develops, manufactures and distributes drugs. The group had turnover of more than 70 billion rubles in 2015.
