Turkey's embassy, consulates in Russia placed under 24-hour protection - Interior Ministry
MOSCOW. Dec 20 (Interfax) - The Turkish Embassy in Moscow and Turkey's consulates general in Russian republics and cities have been placed under round-the-clock police protection, Russian Interior Ministry spokesperson Irina Volk told Interfax.
"The police have stepped up security at diplomatic facilities of the Turkish Republic in the Russian Federation," she said.
The Turkish Embassy in Moscow and Turkish consulates general in other Russian cities have been taken under round-the-clock police protection, Volk said.
Russian Ambassador Andrei Karlov was killed in Turkey on Monday. The Russian Investigative Committee is treating his murder as a terrorist act.
