Karlov will be posthumously decorated with state award - Putin
MOSCOW. Dec 20 (Interfax) - The Russian ambassador to Turkey, Andrei Karlov, killed in a Monday attack will be recommended for decoration with a state award, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.
"I request the Foreign Ministry to recommend him for being posthumously decorated with a state award and to come up with a proposal on commemorating him. He died on combat duty," Putin said at a Monday meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
