Bashkortostan approves terms for privatization of stake in Bashkir Soda

UFA. Dec 23 (Interfax) - The government of Bashkortostan has approved the conditions for the privatization of a 38.27% stake in Bashkir Soda Company that is owned by the internal Russian republic.

The stake will be contributed to the charter capital of a "strategic company," according to an order issued by the Bashkir government. Details about this company were not provided.

The stake will probably be handed over to the Regional Fund in order to recapitalize this fund, which is wholly owned by Bashkortostan, an informed sourced told Interfax.

It was reported earlier that the Bashkir authorities planned to privatize the stake in Bashkir Soda by handing it over to JSC Regional Fund and had asked for approval from the Federal Anti-Monopoly Service.
