DUBAI. Dec 29 (Interfax) - Syrian governmental forces are ready to cease hostilities at midnight, the Syrian official media said referencing a statement by the military.
The decision of the Syrian military command to cease the hostilities at midnight will not apply to fighters from the ISIL and Al-Nusra Front terrorist groups (banned in Russia), the media said.
The cessation of hostilities does not imply a pause in the operations against terrorist organizations, it said.
In turn, Syrian opposition members said on Thursday they agreed to cease the hostilities against governmental forces, the Western media said without providing details.
Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said earlier that the Syria ceasefire would take effect at midnight on December 30.
