Farmers boost grain sales by 12.2% in Nov to 6.9 mln tonnes - Rosstat
MOSCOW. Dec 29 (Interfax) - Russian agricultural organizations have changed the downward trend of grain sales and in comparison with the same month of last year, they increased grain sales suddenly by 12.2% to 6.9 million tonnes, the Federal Statistics Service (Rosstat) said on Thursday.
In January-November of this year, grain sales rose by 5.9% year-on-year 48.9 million tonnes.
Sales of livestock and poultry (for slaughter) in the 11M rose by 6.2% to 9.2 million tonnes, milk by 2.2% to 13 million tonnes, eggs by 3.8% to 27.8 billion eggs.
In November, 0.9 million tonnes of cattle and poultry were sold, which is 4.9% more than last year. Milk sales rose by 3.5% to 1.1 million tonnes, eggs rose by 7.2% to 2.6 billion eggs.
