Japan increasing corn imports from Russia
MOSCOW. Dec 30 (Interfax) - Japan has ramped up imports of Russian corn in the current agricultural year (July 2016-June 2017), importing 227,200 tonnes in July-December, 17.5 times more than the 13,000 tonnes it imported in all of the previous agricultural year, animal and plant health watchdog Rosselkhoznadzor reported.
Russia also exported 5,600 tonnes of wheat and 12,600 tonnes of barley to Japan in this period.
