Tatneft ups oil production 5.2% in 2016
KAZAN. Jan 10 (Interfax) - Tatneft produced 28.333 million tonnes of oil in Tatarstan in 2016, 5.2% more than in the previous year, the oil company said.
The Tatneft group produced a total of 28.686 million tonnes of oil in 2016, including 353,400 tonnes produced by subsidiaries, respectively 5.3% and 9.9% more than in 2015.
The company produced 842,670 tonnes of heavy crude in 2016, 60% more than the target for the year and up from 376,000 tonnes in 2015.
The company completed 667 wells in 2016, 2% more than in 2015. This included 501 production wells, seven exploration wells and 159 wells to produce bitumen.
The Taneco oil refining complex refined 8.71 million tonnes of crude and, taking into account other feedstock, produced 9.091 million tonnes of oil products.
