Grain shipment on Russian railways increases 4.4% in 2016

MOSCOW. Jan 11 (Interfax) - Rail shipment of grain (grain, feed, buckwheat, flour, and milling products) rose 4.4% to 23.853 million tonnes in 2016, Russian Railways (RZD) said in materials seen by Interfax.

Internal shipment rose 6% to 12.9 million tonnes, while international shipment declined 2.5% to 10.9 million tonnes. Import shipments rose 70% to 1 million tonnes and export shipments were down 1.8% to 9.3 million tonnes.
