Russian Security Council discuss national industrial security for period to 2025
MOSCOW. Jan 11 (Interfax-AVN) - The Russian Security Council's inter-agency commission for economic and social safety has considered a draft of the foundations of the state policy on national industrial security for the period through 2025 and beyond, the Security Council aid.
"The document under discussion aims to ensure protection of the vitally important interests of the individual and society against industrial accidents and their aftermath," the Russian Security Council said in a press release obtained by Interfax-AVN on Wednesday.
In particular, the draft document outlines goals and main areas and tools of implementing state policy on industrial security, the press release said
The document envisages legal, economic and social challenges of preventing accidents at hazardous production facilities, improving state regulation of industrial security, and raising professional competencies of heads and employees of organizations that operate and service hazardous production facilities.
"The commission noted that while the draft Foundations in general meet the requirements for strategic-planning documents, more work on them is needed to reflect proposals received from the meeting attendees," the press release said.
The document was drafted by the Federal Service for Environmental, Technological and Nuclear Oversight.
