Kremlin to make no further comment on alleged Russian compromising material on Trump - Peskov

MOSCOW. Jan 13 (Interfax) - The Kremlin will make no further comment on reports alleging Russian compromising material on U.S. President-elect Donald Trump, which it sees as 'pulp fiction'.

"We have said all we could about that report. We also said that those papers could hardly be called a report. We are done discussing this fake; we do not discuss fakes for so long," Kremlin press secretary Dmitry Peskov said, commenting on foreign media reports alleging that Russian security services had gathered damaging material on Trump.

As to whether the British intelligence officer who had allegedly written the report was known to the Kremlin, he said, "No, the Kremlin does not know [him]."

"A great deal of fakes of this sort are being published; this is not the first fake, especially of such low quality," Peskov said, adding, "one should simply not pay as much attention as it is being done in the heat of emotion, which has gotten a grip on America."
