Kyrgyz authorities may demolish settlement near Bishkek on which cargo Boeing owned by Turkish airline fell

BISHKEK. Jan 16 Interfax) - The Kyrgyz authorities may make a decision to demolish the dacha settlement located not far from the airport Manas near Bishkek, on which a cargo plane crashed on Monday morning, Kyrgyz First Deputy Prime Minister Mukhammedkaly Abulgaziyev said.

"People should not live here. A total of 1,500 people, mainly from various parts of our country, lived on 23 sites, and the houses were given to them for temporary use," he said.

A decision on the future of the settlement will be made by the republic's government, he said.

According to the Kyrgyz Emergency Situations Ministry, 32 people were killed in the crash of the cargo Boeing 747 on a dacha settlement near the airport Manas.

According to the Kyrgyz Emergency Situations Ministry, the crash of the plane in the settlement Dacha-Suu fully destroyed 17 buildings, two houses were burned down and six buildings were partially destroyed.

The Kyrgyz Emergency Situations Ministry said there are a total of 43 sites in the settlement and houses are located on most of them.

The cargo Boeing 747-400, owned by a Turkish airline, crashed on January 16 during landing not far from the Kyrgyz airport Manas. The plane crashed on a settlement.
