Russian govt allocates 30 bln rubles to regions for ensuring safe, good roads
MOSCOW. Jan 25 (Interfax) - Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev signed an order on the allocation of inter-budgetary transfers in the amount of 30 billion rubles as part of a state program for the development of transport systems, it said on the government's website.
"The inter-budgetary transfers distributed by the signed order in the amount of 30 billion rubles, which in 2017 will provide financing from the federal budget to the budgets of 34 regions for road activity as part of the priority project Safe and High-Quality Roads," the statement said.
The project's passport was confirmed after a meeting of the presidium of the Russian presidential council for strategic development and priority projects on November 21, 2016.
The funds are being allocated as part of the state's transport system development program.
Medvedev said at a government meeting on January 19, where this document was considered: "the decisions that were made will facilitate the development of a network of general-use, regional, inter-municipal and local roads."
