Russian and Palestinian diplomats discuss fight against terrorism

MOSCOW. Jan 26 (Interfax) - Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Oleg Syromolotov and Palestinian Ambassador in Moscow Abdel Hafiz Nofal have discussed issues concerning the fight against terrorism in the Middle East, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.

"The sides held a detailed exchange of opinions on the current situation in the Middle East and North Africa with a focus on the issue of the fight against terrorism. Both sides noted the importance of consolidating the international community's efforts to counter this global challenge," the ministry said on its website.

"Certain aspects of the bilateral Russian-Palestinian agenda were addressed as well," it said.
