Caspian states agree on several Caspian status issues in Baku - Azeri foreign ministry
BAKU. Jan 26 (Interfax) - The five Caspian littoral states have agreed a number of open and fundamental issues during a 48th meeting of the special working group on the Caspian's status in Baku, Azerbaijan's Deputy Foreign Minister Khalaf Khalafov said.
"We are satisfied with the results of the 48th session of the special working group, at the level of deputy foreign ministers, to prepare and develop a draft Convention on the legal status of the Caspian Sea. The meeting attendees agreed on a number of open issues, as well as provisions and clauses on fundamental issues," Khalafov told Azeri state media.
On January 25-26, 2017 Baku hosted the 48th meeting of the special working group, which drafts the Convention on the legal status of the Caspian Sea, at the level of the countries' deputy foreign ministers.
