Astana ready to host new Syria settlement meetings of guarantor countries - Kazakh Foreign Ministry
ASTANA. Jan 27 (Interfax) - Kazakhstan is ready to host meetings between Russian, Turkish and Iranian experts for the purpose of elaborating Syria truce control mechanisms, Kazakh Foreign Ministry spokesman Anuar Jainakov told Interfax.
"We are ready to welcome them [the negotiating parties] any time," he said.
As to when the experts may convene their next meeting, he said, "everything depends on further developments."
Earlier reports said military experts from Russia, Turkey and Iran would hold a technical meeting in Astana.
The UN may send 'advisors' to the meeting, Special Envoy of the UN Secretary-General for Syria Staffan de Mistura said.
Intra-Syrian negotiations took place in Astana this week.
