Azerbaijan creates trade delegation in Russia

BAKU. Feb 6 (Interfax) - Azerbaijan's trade delegation to Russia will be headed by Ruslan Aliyev, Azerbaijan's Economic Ministry told Interfax.

"Azerbaijan is interested in developing economic ties with Russia. Under the framework of the president's decree to create Azerbaijani trade delegations abroad, the first trade delegation will appear in Russia. Ruslan Aliyev has been appointed the head of the trade delegation to Russia," a ministry spokesman said.

The ministry said that Azerbaijan also plans to open a trading house in Russia.

Russia is one of Azerbaijan's main trading partners in the non-oil sector. The creation of a trade delegation to Russia will have a positive influence on the growth of non-oil exports from Azerbaijan and attracting Russian companies to bring business to Azerbaijan, the ministry said.
