RDIF plans to invest in Sistema's agribusiness - Yevtushenkov
MOSCOW. Feb 8 (Interfax) - Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) wants to invest in Agroholding Steppe, a wholly owned subsidiary of AFK Sistema .
"They have expressed the desire to participate in the next asset we plan to hold an IPO in and they are studying this issue. It is purely a question of the non-resistance of the two sides: if they like our terms, if they reckon that this is interesting and beneficial for them, then why not," Sistema principal owner Vladimir Yevtushenkov told journalists.
He previously said that Sistema plans to hold an IPO in Steppe in 2017.
"These are all forecasts and projections for the time being. For now there is nothing serious in this issue. This is like the intention of the sides, no more," Yevtushenkov said.
An RDIF representative confirmed that the fund was interested in taking a stake in Steppe.
