Russian oil exports up 6.6%, gas 13.8% in 2016 - customs
MOSCOW. Jan 17 (Interfax) - Russia exported 236.196 million tonnes of oil to non-CIS countries in January-December 2016, up 6.6%, the Federal Customs Service (FCS) said.
Natural gas exports rose 13.8% to 164.7 billion cubic meters (bcm).
Fuel and energy accounted for 62.0% of Russian exports to the non-CIS, down from 66.5% in 2015. Overall fuel and energy exports to non-CIS countries fell 22.5% in value but rose 3.2% in natural terms.
Exports by volume rose 6.6% for crude oil, 13.8% for natural gas and 9.1% for coal, but fell 9.4% for refined oil products, including diesel - 5.9% and liquid fuels - 17.3%.
Fuel and energy accounted for 32.6% of Russian exports to the CIS, down from 39.3% in 2015. The value of fuel and energy exports to CIS countries fell 31.2% and physical export volumes were down 8.7%. Exports by volume of electricity fell 34.5%, natural gas - 16.6%, oil products - 3.8%. Export by volume of coal rose 4.9%.
Russia exported 254.767 million tonnes of crude oil worth $74.199 billion to all destinations and 198.7 bcm of gas worth $31.3 billion in 2016.
