Russia, Serbia outline directions for cooperation between their armed forces in 2017
MOSCOW. Feb 11 (Interfax-AVN) - Russian Deputy Defense Minister Alexander Fomin held negotiations with Serbian Defense Minister Zoran Dordevic on Saturday, the Russian Defense Ministry's department of information and mass media told Interfax.
"During the meeting, the sides have taken a stock of the bilateral military cooperation in 2016 and outlined promising directions of cooperation between the armed forces of Russia and Serbia for 2017," the department said.
"A particular emphasis was placed on the Russian-Serbian relations in the military-technical sector," the ministry said.
"In addition, exchange of opinions on an array of issues of the global and regional security took place," the department said.
The department said that "a meeting was held in a friendly environment and confirmed the mutual determination to further increase the bilateral cooperation through the defense ministries."
