IAC forms commission to investigate helicopter crash in Altai

BARNAUL. Feb 13 (Interfax) - Specialists from the Interstate Aviation Committee (IAC) will investigate the crash of a Robinson helicopter in the waters of Lake Teletskoye in the Altai Republic, the committee press center told Interfax on Monday.

"A commission has now been formed to investigate the helicopter crash, but it has not begun working yet as the helicopter has not yet been found. We are working closely with the Emergency Situations Ministry services, and our experts will begin working on the site when the helicopter is found and raised," the press center said.

A Robinson helicopter with five people aboard crashed in the Lake Teletskoye area on February 12. It was reportedly carrying businessman and former Altai official Anatoly Bannykh among other passengers.
