Uruguay wants to boost milk, meat supplies to Russia
MOSCOW. Feb 16 (Interfax) - Uruguay is interested in boosting supplies of meat and milk to Russia, Uruguayan President Tabare Vazquez said following high level talks in Moscow on Thursday.
"There is extreme interest in Uruguay in deepening cooperation related to food supplies with an emphasis on milk and meat products. We should develop stable, mutually-favorable trade relations for both countries," the Uruguayan president said.
In addition, he said "possibilities already exist for us to expand cooperation to add high value-added products."
"I believe that Uruguay can become a stable and attractive platform so that foreign capital investment will begin to flow in, and we welcome all Russian businessmen who are interested in cooperating to our country. They will find favorable conditions to implement and run business in our country," he said.
