Astana airport loses Internet connection

ASTANA. Feb 17 (Interfax) - There was no Internet connection at the Astana airport on Friday, the airport information service told Interfax.

"No, it's not working," a source told the agency, responding to a question as to whether there is an Internet connection at the airport at this moment.

The source said the Internet connection was lost as a result of "a technical problem with Kazakhtelecom." The information service could not say when the problem will be resolved.

In the meantime, one of the passengers waiting for his flight at the Astana airport told Interfax that "people are being registered for all flights manually by lists without seats" because there is no Internet connection. "They say a fiber optic cable is broken," he said.
