Russia never used, not going to use cyber weapons - Kosachyov

MUNICH. Feb 18 (Interfax) - Moscow has once again denied involvement in use of cyber weapons and committing cyber attacks at the European countries, Konstantin Kosachyov, chairperson of the Federation Council's international affairs committee, said.

"Today I observed with bewilderment how Ms. Merkel, while replying to a question of the Estonian president regarding her attitude to fake news, generated another fake news right there, in front of the audience, having said that Russia allegedly stated its readiness to use cyber weapons against the European countries," Kosachyov told reporters in Munich on Saturday.

"First of all, I am not aware of any of official statement of such kind made by Russia, and second, I know exactly it isn't so, and Russia had never used cyber weapons at all and never intends to do that," he said.
