Rusnano targets 25 bln rubles in earnings from sale of portfolio company stakes - Chubais
NOVOSIBIRSK. Feb 20 (Interfax) - The Rusnano state corporation plans to earn at least 25 billion rubles from sale of its stakes in portfolio companies, Rusnano chief Anatoly Chubais told journalists in Novosibirsk on Saturday.
"We earned roughly eight-nine billion rubles in 2015, 19 billion rubles in 2016. We don't have an approved budget for this year yet, but I think the number will definitely be over 25 billion rubles," Chubais said.
Rusnano "takes a big hit" from ruble strengthening, since a significant portion of its investment is abroad.
"When we invest abroad, this means that the asset is denominated in a foreign currency," he said.
"I don't know for now whether we will be able to overcome this decrease through an improvement in operating results," he said.
