Govt directive on Rostelecom chief Kalugin's resignation signed - sources
MOSCOW. Feb 22 (Interfax) - A government directive on the resignation of Sergei Kalugin as head of Rostelecom has been signed, a source in the telecommunications market told Interfax.
A source close to the company confirmed this.
Reports said on February 16 that a directive was being prepared. Interfax sources have said Mikhail Oseyevsky, deputy chairman of VTB , might head Rostelecom and that he had already received an offer to do so.
One of the sources said a directive on Oseyevsky had also been approved, and that the appointment would be officially announced at a board meeting. Kalugin's last day as Rosteleom president will be March 2, another source said.
Kalugin could become Deputy Communications Minister, a source from one of the agencies has told Interfax.
Rostelecom and the Communications Ministry declined to comment on information about Kalugin's possible resignation and transfer to the ministry.
