MICEX, RTS indexes down 0.2-0.5% in early trading on Friday
MOSCOW. Feb 24 (Interfax) - The Russian stock market began Friday on
a mixed note amid varied external factors.
The MICEX and RTS indexes fell 0.2-0.5% after the fist minute of trading.
The MICEX stock index was down 0.2% to 2,101.63 points and the RTS was down 0.5% to 1,140.25 after the first minute of trading. The Ruble-priced benchmark stocks at MICEX changed within 2.3%.
The dollar was 57.89 rubles at the start of trading (-0.19 rubles from the closing level of Wednesday).
Decliners among ruble-priced benchmark stocks on the Moscow Exchange included Rusal (-2.3%), Tatneft (-0.8%), Bashneft (-0,9%), Mechel (-1.7%), Russian Grids (-0.9%), Magnit (-0.7%), and Surgutneftegas (-0.5%).
There were advances for Gazprom Neft (+0.6%), Rosneft (+0,04%), Rostelecom (+0.3%), Sberbank (+0.5%), Federal Grid Company (+0.4%), and Tatneft preferred shares (+1.1%).
