U.S. senators express interest in dialogue with Russian MPs - deputy Kovalyov

MOSCOW. Feb 27 (Interfax) - Negotiations with the U.S. delegation on the sidelines of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe showed the U.S. side's interest in exchange of information on the situation in Syria at the political and military levels, State Duma security and anti-corruption committee member Nikolai Kovalyov said.

Statements were also made "on the need to coordinate and improve cooperation on Syrian issues, in that the senators agreed that major improvement of the exchange of information is required, first and foremost, at the political level and between military officials involved in the operation to eliminate the armed units," Kovalyov told reporters on Monday.
