Putin invites Rahmon to visit Russia
DUSHANBE. Feb 27 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has invited Tajik President Emomali Rahmon to visit Russia when it suits him.
The invitation was accepted with thanks, said a joint statement of the two presidents issued in the wake of Putin's official visit to Dushanbe.
The parties reaffirmed during their Monday talks their readiness to strengthen political dialogue and outlined ways to develop Russian-Tajik relations and interaction on the most important issues on the international agenda, it said.
The presidents also noted that Russia and Tajikistan had managed to build a solid and comprehensive system of bilateral strategic partnership and alliance over the 25 years since bilateral diplomatic relations were established, the document said.
