Contact Group managed to agree on resolving situation around Donetsk filtering station - DPR negotiator's aide
MOSCOW. March 1 (Interfax) - The Contact Group on Donbas has reached a number of agreements, including one to resolve the problem with the Donetsk filtering station.
"The negotiators managed to reach a number of agreements on the issues of withdrawing forces and weapons in the Stanytsia Luhanska area and to resolve the situation around the Donetsk filtering station. The representatives of the LPR [Luhansk People's Republic] and the DPR [Donetsk People's Republic] expressed their hope that the agreements will be implemented in the near future," DPR negotiator Denis Pushilin's aide Viktoria Talakina wrote on Facebook.
Pushilin "insisted on the need to remove heavy weapons from the dividing line," she said.
"It is the presence of heavy weaponry that led to the escalation of the conflict," Talakina said.
