MOSCOW. March 2 (Interfax) - Production of oil and gas condensate in Russia totaled 89.426 million tonnes in January-February 2017, compared to 89.275 million tonnes in the same period of 2016, the latest data from the Central Dispatching Department of the Fuel and Energy Complex (CDU TEK) show.

Since 2016 was a leap year and there is one fewer day in February this year, it makes sense to compare average daily production, which amounted to 11.109 million barrels in February 2017, down 1.08% from 11.230 million bpd October 2016 and down 0.018% from 11.111 million bpd in January 2017. October 2016 was taken as the departure point for reducing oil production under an agreement between OPEC and non-OPEC countries.

Russian oil exports to countries outside the CIS rose to 38.733 million tonnes in January-February from 37.117 million tonnes a year earlier.

Natural gas production in Russia increased to 124.745 billion cubic meters in January-February from 115.279 bcm a year earlier.
