Armenian Communist Party pledges to develop relations with Russia, counter color revolutions in case of its victory in parliamentary election
YEREVAN. March 6 (Interfax) - The Armenian Communist Party attaches paramount importance to the development of relations with Russia, party representative Vazgen Safarian said on Monday.
"We are attaching paramount importance to the development of relations with Russia and other CSTO member countries, as well as to the fostering of economic and political ties with Iran and Georgia," Safarian told reporters, presenting the election program of his party ahead of the parliamentary election on April 2.
The Communist Party pledges to pursue consistent counteraction against color revolutions in case of its victory at the election, he said.
"To combat new western phenomena - homosexuality, same-sex marriages, transgenders and other phenomena alien to the Armenian people's mentality. To counteract the intensification of forces which are preparing color revolutions of a dubious nature, in Armenia," Safarian said.
