Russian reconciliation center in Syria carries out 8 humanitarian actions in past 24 hours

HMEIMIM. March 8 (Interfax) - The Russian Center for reconciliation of opposing sides has conducted eight humanitarian actions in the governorates Aleppo (6), Latakia (1) and El-Quneitra (1) in the past 24 hours, the Center said in a humanitarian bulletin obtained by Interfax.

Thus, local residents have received 0.94 tonnes of bread and 4.8 tonnes of fresh bottled water in the neighborhoods of Hananu-Shimalia, Banezid, Qadi-Askar, at the Al-Malik school and at the Center of training and upbringing in the city of Aleppo, the military said.

"Some 100 food rations, stationary and children's toys were delivered to the Mohammed Nabil Dervish kindergarten in the Kirsana populated area (Latakia governorate). Another 400 food rations were handed out to residents in the Jaba populated locality in the El-Quneitra governorate," the bulletin said.

The Center for reconciliation of opposing sides said that 2,820 residents had received humanitarian aid in the past 24 hours. A total of 8.26 tonnes of humanitarian aid were delivered to local residents.

Furthermore, the Russian military continue to distribute humanitarian aid, which is being provided to the Syrian population by international organizations.

"Russian aircraft delivered by means of parachute platforms 20.4 tonnes of humanitarian aid (food stuffs), which had been received by the Syrian authorities via the United Nations, to the Deir ez-Zor city area," it said.
