Moscow condemns inhumane terrorist attack on military hospital in Kabul
MOSCOW. March 9 (Interfax) - Russia condemns the terror attack that took place in Kabul a day earlier and urges Afghan authorities to take measures to strengthen security, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Thursday.
"We strongly condemn the inhuman terrorist attack. We hope its masterminds and perpetrators will be severely punished and the authorities of Afghanistan take all necessary measures to ensure safety both in the capital and in other areas of the country," the ministry said on its website.
"We express our deep condolences to the relatives and friends of those killed and wishes of swift recovery to those injured," the ministry said.
On March 8 militants from the Afghan offshoot of the Islamic State terror group carried out an attack on the M. Daud military hospital in Kabul. As a result, over 30 people were killed and over 70 sustained various injuries, the Russian ministry said.
