Activist Dadin again charged with violation of regulations governing picketing procedures

MOSCOW. March 10 (Interfax) - An administrative protocol has been made against activist Ildar Dadin, who was detained by police in Moscow, a source familiar with the situation told Interfax on Friday.

"An administrative violation protocol was made against Ildar Dadin in accordance with Article 20.2 of the Russian Code of Administrative Violations (violation of the established regulations governing the organization of pickets) on suspicion of holding a picket," the source told Interfax.

Interfax currently has no official confirmation of this information from the law enforcement agencies.

At the same time, human rights activist Lev Ponomaryov has confirmed to Interfax that an administrative protocol has been made against Dadin in accordance with Article 20.2 of the Russian Code of Administrative Violations.

"Yes, a protocol made in accordance with [Article] 20.2. Ildar [Dadin] says he is not signing it, he has objections. We expect him to be released in the very near future," Ponomaryov said.
