Syrians receive over 3 tonnes of Russian humanitarian aid in past 24 hours - Russian reconciliation center
HMEIMIM. March 13 (Interfax-AVN) - Russia has delivered 3.2 tonnes of humanitarian aid to Syria in the past 24 hours, the Russian center for reconciliation of the opposing sides in Syria said.
"The Russian center for reconciliation of the opposing sides has conducted eight humanitarian operations in the governorates of Aleppo (6), Latakia (1) and Damascus (1)," the center said.
Humanitarian aid was delivered to 3,100 people, it said.
"The total weight of the humanitarian cargo distributed amongst residents stood at 3.2 tonnes," it said.
In addition, the United Nations and its partners continued to render food, medical, psychological and legal assistance to Syria over the past day. Infrastructure is being rebuilt and temporary accommodation is being provided to those in need, it said.
