Belarus supports creation of FTA between Israel, EAEU
MINSK. March 13 (Interfax) - Minsk supports the establishment of a free trade area (FTA) between Israel and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), Belarusian Deputy Prime Minister Mikhail Rusy said.
"Belarus has always supported this initiative [the establishment of the EAEU-Israel FTA]," Rusy said at a meeting with an Israeli delegation led by Minister for Immigration and Absorption Sofa Landver in Minsk on Monday.
In November 2016, Israel and the EAEU determined a draft FTA agreement, and the next meeting to address the matter is due in Moscow this May, Rusy said.
"The creation of an FTA between Israel and the EAEU would foster trade, economic, and investment cooperation," he said.
