Minsk regards Germany as key partner in EU

MINSK. March 13 (Interfax) - Belarus regards Germany as its key partner in the European Union, Belarusian Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei said.

"Belarus regards Germany as a key partner in the European Union," Makei said at a meeting with German Minister of State for Europe Michael Roth in Minsk on Monday.

Belarus is aware that it is not ranked first on Germany's agenda, but is confident that cooperation between the two countries will be expanding, he said.

Belarus is interested in developing relations with Germany in all areas, Makei said.

The parties exchanged greetings on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.
