West should prove desire to cooperate with Russia in practice - Lavrov
MOSCOW. March 17 (Interfax) - The United States and the European Union have been increasingly urging cooperation with Russia in addressing common problems, and Moscow hopes that their appeals will be put into action, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.
"Our U.S. and European counterparts have been repeatedly speaking in favor of resuming the dialogue and taking collective action in the interests of overcoming common threats together; it is important for these appeals to be put into action," Lavrov said at a meeting with NGO members.
He also listed Russian foreign political priorities.
"Our unconditional priorities include the creation of a broad international anti-terrorist coalition based on international law and the policy of settling numerous crises and conflicts, primarily those in the Middle East and in direct proximity to our borders, in Ukraine, as well as in other places," he said.
Moscow will also attach significance to strengthening the CIS and the CSTO and building the so-called Greater Eurasia, Lavrov said.
