Experts from Russia, Turkey, Iran to discuss Syria in Tehran on April 18-19; meeting to be closed-door, exclude opposition - source

MOSCOW. March 19 (Interfax) - Experts will conduct a closed-door meeting on Syria in Tehran in April, a source familiar with the Syria peace talks told Interfax on Sunday.

"Participants in the Tehran meeting have confirmed their participation in the April 18-19 consultations that will be held at the level of military experts from the guarantor-countries: Russia, Turkey and Iran, without opposition representatives involved," the source said.

The attendees are expected to prepare a host of documents on security issues to be signed at a meeting in Astana on May 3-4, he said.

"These are a Provision on the reconciled area, a map separating terrorists from the opposition, and implementation of the single-monitoring-group mechanism to monitor the truce," the source said.
