Peskov: Putin supports Central Bank strategy, tactics
MOSCOW. March 24 (Interfax) - Russian Presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov has commented on the Central Bank of Russia's decision to lower the key rate 25 basis points to 9.75%.
"You know, very recently, speaking about his intention to nominate Nabiullina [head of Central Bank Elvira Nabiullina] for a new term as head of the Central Bank, Putin gave a positive assessment of the Central Bank's work and supported the regulator's strategy and tactics," Peskov said, responding a request from journalists to assess the Central Bank's decision to lower the key rate.
