Injuries sustained by servicemen in militants' attack in Chechnya are not lethal - National Guard

ROSTOV-ON-DON. March 24 (Interfax) - Three servicemen injured in a militant attack on the Russian National Guard military compound in Chechnya have been taken to a Grozny hospital, the Russian National Guard's North Caucasus District Commander Nikolai Dolonin said.

"The injured servicemen have been taken to a hospital in Grozny; their lives are not in danger and, hopefully, they will soon begin to recover. It is very important to help the families of the servicemen killed, both psychologically and materially," Dolonin told reporters on Friday.

A group of armed assailants tried to penetrate a Russian National Guard military compound early on Friday morning. Six militants were killed. Six servicemen were killed, and three suffered injuries.
