Administrative protocols issued against 49 participants in unauthorized protest in Tula - police
TULA. March 27 (Interfax) - The Tula police on Sunday detained 49 participants in an unauthorized rally in the center of the city, the press service for the region's police said on Monday.
"Some 180 people participated in the public event held in Tula on Sunday. Administrative protocols were made out against 49 people on the basis of violations of the established procedures for organizing assemblies, rallies, demonstrations, marches or pickets, after which they were released," the report said.
According to the Tula media, a flash mob took place in central Tula on Sunday afternoon. Its participants walked on one of the streets before heading to Lenin Square, where the region's government is located. According to the reports, Vladimir Dorokhov, chairman of the regional section of the Yabloko party, was among the detainees.
The Tula administration earlier declined to authorize the rally, saying its organizers had filed a request for its authorization with violations.
