Police identify 115 violators at St. Petersburg opposition rally, including nine teenagers
ST. PETERSBURG. March 27 (Interfax) - Administrative charges have been brought against 115 people, some of them minors, after an unauthorized rally took place in St. Petersburg on Sunday, a spokesperson for the St. Petersburg and Leningrad region police told Interfax on Monday.
"Administrative protocols on public order violation have been compiled against 115 demonstrators. Nine of them are minors, the police handed them over to their legal representatives," the spokesperson said.
A city police spokesperson told Interfax earlier that about 3,000 people had taken part in last Sunday's unauthorized rally in St. Petersburg. The police crackdown on the rally near Vosstaniya (Uprising) Square resulted in 131 people being taken to police stations for inquiry.
