OSCE PA head contented with Volodin's response to question about protest actions in Russia on Sunday - Slutsky
ST. PETERSBURG. March 27 (Interfax) - Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe Parliamentary Assembly (OSCE PA) President Christine Muttonen was completely satisfied with State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin's answer to a question about rallies in Russia, State Duma international affairs committee's chairman Leonid Slutsky said.
"OSCE PA head Christine Muttonen has no more questions about the holding of rallies in Russia after the meeting with the State Duma speaker. She was fully contented with Vyacheslav Volodin's response," Slutsky told reporters following the meeting with OSCE PA head Muttonen on Monday.
"This proves once again that the OSCE PA is an effective platform to discuss different issues of cooperation," the committee's head said.
"We hope that we will succeed in reaching a common denominator on most sensitive issues of international agenda, including on the Ukrainian dossier, within the framework of cooperation with this organization."
Muttonen asked State Duma Speaker Volodin at their meeting in St. Petersburg to clarify the situation with the Sunday protests in several Russian cities.
