Tajikistan's Talco, Rusal sign amicable agreement

DUSHANBE. March 28 (Interfax) - Tajikistan's state aluminum company Talco and Rusal have signed an amicable agreement, Talco's communications and information department told Interfax.

The document was signed on March 23 in Moscow and calls for differences between the two sides to be solved, as well as mutually-beneficial long-term cooperation to be established.

"The sides recognized that not one unsolved dispute remained between Talco and Rusal, that the amicable agreement does not violate anyone's rights and is the result of carrying out settlement procedures and the basis for ending all court proceedings that existed up until the moment of its signing," a Talco representative said.

Rusal confirmed that an amicable agreement had been signed.

The commercial dispute between the two sides was partially connected with disagreements regarding the violation of conditions in a contract for aluminum supplies signed in 2003.
