Moldovan PM expects NATO office to open in Chisinau this summer
CHISINAU. March 30 (Interfax) - The opening of a NATO office in Chisinau should promote the understanding of the need for cooperation between Moldova and NATO, Moldovan Prime Minister Pavel Filip said.
"We hail the opening of a NATO office in Moldova. I want to assure you that the more communication is, the better cooperation between Moldova and NATO will be understood. Everything is going according to plan. We hope that a NATO office will open in Chisinau in summer," Filip said at a joint press conference with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg on Thursday.
Speaking about the upcoming opening of a NATO liaison office in Chisinau, Filip said that "the government has done everything necessary for that."
"Speaking about the National Army, we want to have well-trained armed forces. NATO promotes that, respecting our country's neutral status," Filip said.
