Tiraspol memorial of glory vandalized
TIRASPOL. April 2 (Interfax) - Vandals have attacked a war memorial in Tiraspol.
Early on Friday morning unknowns made offensive inscriptions using spray paint on the Memorial of Glory, a spokesperson for the Interior Ministry of the breakaway Moldovan republic of Transdniestria said on Friday.
The memorial is the burial site of soldiers, who liberated the city from German-Romanian invaders in 1944, and of the first victims of the 1992 Moldovan-Transdniestrian war.
