Putin planning to discuss unresolved bilateral issues, cooperation prospects at meeting with Lukashenko

ST. PETERSBURG. April 3 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin, who is meeting with his Belarusian counterpart Alexander Lukashenko in St. Petersburg on Monday, is going to discuss unresolved bilateral problems and necessary measures to develop ties between the two countries.

This year marks the 25th anniversary since Russia and Belarus established diplomatic relations, Putin said.

"And today we have an opportunity to talk about what has been done over the years in terms of broadening our bilateral cooperation, what has yet to be done, and where we still have some unresolved problems," Putin said.

"I am very glad to see you, I want to thank you for having accepted my invitation to come to St. Petersburg," the Russian president told his counterpart.
