Uzbek president extends condolences to families of people hurt in St. Pete metro tragedy

TASHKENT. April 3 (Interfax) - Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has extended his condolences to Russian President Vladimir Putin in regard of the explosion in the St. Petersburg metro, which caused human casualties, the press service for the Uzbek Foreign Ministry said on Monday.

"The president in his message gave sincere words of deep sympathy to the relatives and loved ones of those killed and injured," the report said.

An explosive device planted in a train car went off in the St. Petersburg metro on April 3. Ten people were killed and 37 were hospitalized.
